- What's a credit?
- Credits are a single shared currency for everything MixingGPT does. A chat question is 1 credit, a web-enhanced answer is 2 credits, an image / screenshot analysis is 2 credits, and audio analysis is 8 credits per started minute. You'll always see the exact cost on the upload chip before you hit send, so there are no surprises.
- What if my audio is short?
- Short audio costs less. A 30-second stem check is billed as 1 minute — 4 credits — instead of the old flat "1 critique" charge. Anything under a minute rounds up to one minute; a 1:01 file rounds up to two minutes.
- Do credits roll over?
- Free is weekly — credits reset every Monday and don't carry over. Starter and Pro reset on the 1st of each month. Studio rolls over up to one full month of unused credits, so a quiet month doesn't go to waste.
- What happens when I run out?
- We block the send and show you exactly what it would have cost ("this 4-minute file needs 32 credits; you have 18 left"), with options to trim the audio, send chat-only, or upgrade. Nothing breaks — your conversation history stays put, and credits refresh at the start of your next period.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancel from the dashboard and you'll keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. No long-term commitments.
- What's the difference between the plans?
- Free — concise text-only mixing help, refreshed weekly.
- Starter — adds web search, image and audio analysis, and email support. Best fit for hobbyists.

- How is audio handled?
- Audio files are uploaded to our servers, decoded for the exact duration so billing is fair, analyzed, and discarded. They're not stored long-term and they're never used to train models. Your conversations stay on your machine.
- Is the Free tier really free?
- Yes — 15 credits each week, no credit card. It's intended as a real taste of the product, with the same mixing fine-tune as paid tiers, just without audio, images, web search, and with concise answer depth.
